Originally developed by Synergistic Software and released in 1997, Hellfire was not an official Blizzard product and did not carry Blizzard’s endorsement or label. Despite that, in response to Diablo players who have expressed a desire to experience the content, Blizzard has given the OK for it to be included as a free add-on with Diablo purchases on GOG.COM.
Hellfire offers a non-canonical single-player storyline where players must defeat a powerful demon named Na-Krul who is threatening Tristram. The expansion also adds a Monk class, new weapons and items, new missions, locations, dungeons, and enemies. Hellfire will be accessible while launching the original Diablo.

v4 was released on March 12 2019. Afterwards came v5 & v6 on March 28 2019. The latest version the current game is sitting on today was released on December 13 2024 and it was a hotfix. So, i guess this is not the latest version.

I am just encountering an issue when I play the game. When I play the Cathedral Level 1 and my character reaches level 3, I cannot return to town without the game crashing and saying ERROR: Unable to open save file.
I have tried switching off the antivirus, moving it to a different folder, tried different compatibility settings. Nothing works. I want to try this game out but I can’t play anything past Cathedral Level 1.
Does anyone have a solution for this ? 🙁

Diablo 2 is still not available on gog at the moment sorry
It’s not working. I hear the sounds in the background but the game screen doesn’t open. I also tried to run it as administrator but nothing changed.

– Microsoft .NET Framework
– Microsoft DirectX

Are the uploads in this site provided by site admin or individual contribution? there are plenty of new hot gog games like trine 4 and disco elysium…..but too slow update here. if the site accepts individual contribution we can buy and upload it here.

How can we get the barbarian`?
There is no confusion. In fact, there IS a Barbarian class (as well as the Bard and Monk classes) in Diablo 1: Hellfire. The thing is that only the Monk class is visible at first; the Barbarian and Bard classes are hidden in the game as an Easter egg. In order to activate these two classes:
1) Go to the “hellfire” folder inside the “Diablo” folder;
2) Create a .txt documment named “command.txt”;
3) Copy and paste the following line inside the “command.txt” file:
cowquest;theoquest;bardtest;multitest;barbariantest;
4) Save.
After doing that, the two hidden classed will be available to play.
